Someone once told me that if you haven’t worn something in over a year, it’s time to get rid of it. I prefer the hoarder method myself, I keep everything…forever. You know those Club Monaco emblem sweaters from the 90’s? still got one. My Matthew Good Band t-shirt? still got it (band broke up 9 years ago). However, I recently ran into a problem, one that could only be solved by adding another wing to my house. I ran out of closet space, and as much as I tried to shove under my bed or in my car it just wouldn’t take. Last may I attended the first annual “Over the Top Fashion Swap.” It was hard to part with some items, even the ones that hadn’t seen daylight in years, but I did it and came home with some great items. I encourage Vestiary readers to take a look in your closet and see if you can part with any fashionable, gently used, quality clothing and take part in Edmonton’s second annual city-wide clothing swap.
